Teacher charged with sex assaults on child

CLARKSVILLE, Tenn. -- A former teacher was arrested Friday on charges that he raped a boy.

Brandon Kyle Hester, 27, was charged with two counts of rape of a child, two counts of aggravated sexual battery, two counts of aggravated statutory rape and two counts of sexual battery by an authority figure.

Hester worked in the Clarksville-Montgomery County School System from 2010 to 2012,  According to the investigating officer, Clarksville Police Detective Kyle Fleming, the alleged crimes did not occur at school or on school property

He was booked into the Montgomery County Jail on $150,000 bond.

According to a Clarksville Police Department press release, the crimes took place while Hester was a CMCSS teacher.

"While he was with CMCSS, he started an after school club for boys to help boys that did not have a father figure, and the victim was part of that club," the press release says. "Detective Kyle Fleming is the lead investigator for this case. Det. Fleming’s concern is that there could be other victims."
